Our 100% cotton fabric is hand dyed.
> Dyes are MX Procion permanent dyes. We make every effort to insure that all loose dye
particles are rinsed out; however, we recommend washing with like colours in cold water using
dyers soap or a gentle soap (see our page on dyes and chemicals to purchase) There are a
number of washing products on the market that pick up loose dyes. Some examples are “Dye
Magnet” and “Colour Catcher”.
> When combining commercially dyed fabrics and hand-dyed fabrics in a project, we
recommend pre-washing the commercial fabric. Our hand-dyes will not shrink; however
commercially dyed fabrics probably will. Commercial fabrics will also contain sizing.
