Samples of beach Discharge
A silhouette cut out of freezer paper and
pressed on green fabric then sprayed with
bleach & water.  The tree is outlined with
green fabric foil and decorations and border
use green and red fabric foil.
Arlene used a pattern of trees cut out of freezer
paper and pressed them on black fabric then
sprayed them with bleach.  Trees are then outlined
with copper foil.

Night Sky Discharge includes instructions to discharge
the dye, 4 constellation layouts and foundation paper
piecing for the corners/star.  This wall hanging, designed
and sewn by Kathy is 40 X 40" but can be easily adapted
in 16" multiples
When you use bleach to discharge dye, the bleaching
process continues, even after the fabric is laundered.  To
avoid disintegration of the fabric, we stock "Bleach Stop", a
chemical that... as the name implys... stops the process.

The samples below used bleach thickened with sodium
alginate then the process was neutralized with Bleach Stop  
- Robert Kaufman Pimatex.  Corry made stencils out of
freezer paper and used the positive and negative technique
to discharge them.  The inside of the stencil is ironed on the
right sample and the outside of the stencil was ironed on
the left sample.
